Chillventa in Nuremberg is the international trade fair for refrigeration, ventilation and heat pumps. Industry, wholesalers, trade associations and educational institutions in the field are given the opportunity to network, uncover innovations, present products and catch up with trends in the industry every two years. An attractive accompanying program tops up this trade fair to be the modern face of the industry.

The trade fair started on the 16th of October where DryFiciency was presented by a number of project partners, whether that be it by displaying project materials in boots or holding various presentations throughout the event. Thomas Nowak and Eirini Litina from European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) made sure the project was noticed and spoken about by prominently displaying DryFiciency materials in EHPA booth while Mike Muegge from RTDS Association took the opportunity to network and collect market intel to be processed and used in later stages of the project. Tim Harmacher from Viking Heat Engines, Loic Chereau from Chemours, Dennis Ebert from FUCHS and Julian Pfaffl from Bitzer all kept busy with disseminating DryFiciency throughout the event by holding sessions, engaging in 1-on-1 conversations with interested heat pump manufacturers or handing out project flyers and 1-pagers. Special efforts were invested by the project coordinator Austrian Institute of Technology who communicated DryFiciency via project poster, flyers and presentation in a loop (see below).

Additionally, a presentation with the title “Industrial heat pumps in Austria - Current status and future potential” was given by Veronika Wilk from Austrian Institute of Technology (coordinator). A number of industry representatives, especially manufacturers of heat pumps were interested in the project, its aims and the expected results.
