Event report: DryFiciency at IndTech 2018

The conference “INDustrial TECHnologies 2018: Innovative industries for smart growth” aimed at discussing future trends and developments within Key Enabling Technologies and reshaping the research and innovation system to strengthen production in Europe. Further steps to strengthen European industrial and research policy in general as well as in the fields of nanotechnology, advanced materials, production technologies and biotechnologies in particular were discussed.

A special focus was put on cross-technology priorities like connecting innovation ecosystems, involvement of citizens in innovation processes as well as sustainable production and efficient use of resources. It was held under the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and supported by the DG for Research and Innovation of the EC. 

 

 

Veronika Wilk, scientific coordinator, presented the DryFiciency project in the session 1.2 on Sustainable and efficient energy (presentation: Industrial heat pump systems for waste heat recovery to save energy in industrial drying processes) and participated in the panel discussion.
