On the 7th of February, DryFiciency participated in the high-level meeting “Renewable heating in the pulp and paper industry, assessing potentials of innovative solutions”. Organised by EHPA, CEPI and Solar Heat Europe, the meeting was part of the European Industry Week 2019 by the European Commission.
From August 24-30, 2019, Montreal (Canada), birthplace of the 1987 Montreal Protocol, will host the 25th IIR International Congress of Refrigeration – ICR 2019. This conference is the world’s leading event for research and industry in the HVACR sector.
Chillventa in Nuremberg is the international trade fair for refrigeration, ventilation and heat pumps. Industry, wholesalers, trade associations and educational institutions in the field are given the opportunity to network, uncover innovations, present products and catch up with trends in the industry every two years.
DryFiciency was presented by a number of project partners which had for its result that a number of industry representatives, especially manufacturers of heat pumps expressed interested in the project.
The DryFiciency project started in September 2016 with a consortium kickoff event in Vienna and is scheduled to run 48 months till August 2020. The main tasks performed and results achieved within the first 18 months are described, on plant, unit and component level.
The European Sustainable Energy Week 2018 took place in Brussels between 4 – 7 June 2018. The European Heat Pump Association, a partner of DryFiciency project, participated or co-organized several activities where DryFiciency was involved.
DecarbCities forum addressed the challenge of fast-growing cities and their energy demands. DryFiciency project participated with a poster of Agrana’s drying unit which was part of a poster exhibition presenting large heat pump applications in Europe.
The conference focusing on natural refrigerants was held between 17 – 20 of June 2018 in Valencia, Spain.
On 16th of May, the Decarb cities forum took place in MuseumsQuartier in Vienna to address the trend of increasing share of human population living in cities and to discuss no-pollution solutions.
DryFiciency project was presented at the European Heat Pump Summit 2017 in Nuremberg.
Decarbheat2017 brought together many stakeholders with a shared vision of carbon-free future. Sector commitment is present and strong but will it actually make it happen? Electrification, district heating, and industrial processes are set as priorities for action, while energy efficiency, heat pumps and greater share of renewables were deemed as the remedy.
